While listening to the daily message from Joel, I started reflecting on my past mistakes and failures. I'm not perfect and I try not to pretend to be. I am human. I have made mistakes that I am ashamed of. I am so glad that God forgives in spite of. Just because we have made a mistake or failed, God won't give up on us. He'll still bless us. He's not just the God of "Perfect" people but the God of "Imperfect" people too.
God understands that we make mistakes. He knew the mistakes before we even made them and he also has provided detours for our lives. He just wants us to confess to him and ask for forgiveness. Jeremiah 33:3 states "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great unsearchable things things you do not know." He knows everything about us. He has a plan for us.
I have beaten myself us and also gotten to the a point in my life where I feel like I have messed up to the point where there is no forgiveness. I'm so happy and grateful that the God I serve is a God that forgives no matter what. Everyday I thank God for forgiving me and giving me another chance to get things right. I have shaken off my mistakes and I look forward to God for keeping me, blessing me, and forgiving me.
So what is it that is weighing you down? Shake it off and allow God to forgive you. He did it and continues to do it for me. I'm sure he'll do it for you. Allow God in your life.
Your Destiny Supersedes Your Mistakes.
